Justin Lansing is one-half of the Grammy-winning folk duo The Okee Dokee Brothers, bringing heart, humor, and adventure to family-friendly Americana music. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Justin grew up exploring the outdoors, soaking in the rhythms of bluegrass, and crafting songs that capture the joy of wandering and wonder.
With a deep, rich voice and an old-soul songwriting style, Justin pairs seamlessly with childhood friend Joe Mailander to create music that feels both timeless and fresh. Their albums, inspired by canoe trips, Appalachian hikes, and Western horseback adventures, have earned them widespread acclaim, including a Grammy for Best Children’s Album in 2013.
Beyond The Okee Dokee Brothers, Justin is a devoted storyteller and multi-instrumentalist, blending banjo-driven melodies with poetic lyrics that resonate with audiences of all ages. His music isn’t just for kids—it’s for anyone who believes in the power of nature, friendship, and a great folk tune.
On a personal note, Patrick Sawyer (founder/CEO PBCO) and his family had been listinging to the Okee Dokee Brothers since the birth of their first child in 2020 and was extreamly honored when Justin reached out for us to make him a Custom Longneck Walnut Possum
