Grace Givertz is a Boston-based indie folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her honest lyrics and refreshing sound. Born and raised in Jupiter, Florida, she began writing songs and performing at the age of eleven. Her music often reflects her personal experiences, including living with chronic illness, which she openly addresses in her work.
In 2019, Grace released her independent record “Year of the Horse,” showcasing her ability to turn adversity into art. She plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, and harmonica, complementing her powerful vocals. Since moving to Boston in 2016, she has been featured in several publications, including The Boston Globe and Vanyaland, and has performed at well-loved Boston venues such as Club Passim, Brighton Music Hall, The Burren, and Great Scott.
Grace is a two-time Boston Music Award nominee and was invited to join the inaugural cohort of the Harvard Ed Portal’s artist pipeline program in 2022. She is also a 2022 Live Arts Boston grant recipient from The Boston Foundation, supporting the creation of her sophomore album featuring BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled artists.
